Terms of use, in plain words
These are the rules for using Tandomo, written so a busy parent can read them in five minutes. If anything here is unclear, email us and we will explain it.
Draft: reviewed for COPPA, GDPR and EU consumer wording pending a lawyer's review
This is a working draft. The children's privacy parts have been reviewed for COPPA; the EU parts (data protection, consumer rights, governing law) have not yet been checked by a lawyer, and the wording may change before it is final.
Who runs Tandomo
Tandomo is run by Vebotek OÜ (vebotek.com), Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju maakond, Estonia (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at hello@tandomo.com.
Who can use it
- Parents create the account. A family account must be created and held by a parent or legal guardian who is an adult.
- Children use it under that parent's supervision. Children get profiles inside the parent's account. They don't sign up on their own, and the parent is responsible for how the app is used in the family.
- Keep your login safe. Don't share the parent password with your children. If you think someone else has access to your account, change the password and tell us.
Quests are AI-written suggestions
Most quests are written by an AI model from your child's profile and our starter library. We give it safety rules and check what it produces (see how we keep quests safe), but no check is perfect. Every quest is a suggestion, not an instruction.
- Supervise physical, cooking and outdoor quests. You know your child, your home and your neighborhood. Decide whether a quest is suitable and stay nearby for anything involving movement, the kitchen, heat, tools or going outside.
- Skip anything that doesn't fit. If a quest looks unsafe, wrong or unsuitable for your child, skip it and please tell us.
- Answers can be wrong. AI-written quizzes and facts can contain mistakes. Treat them as a starting point for curiosity, not as a reference.
No medical or educational guarantees
Tandomo is a family activity app. It is not medical, psychological or therapeutic advice, and it is not a school curriculum. The skill map shows areas of practice; it is indicative, not a diagnosis, and it says nothing about whether a child is “on track”. We don't promise any particular learning, behavior or health outcome. If you have concerns about your child's development or health, please talk to a qualified professional.
Your content stays yours
Photos, answers, notes and messages your family adds (“your content”) belong to your family. You give us permission to store and process your content only so we can run the app for you: to show it back to your family, and to use answers and feedback to shape your child's next quests. We don't use your photos for advertising or marketing, we don't make them public and we don't sell your content. The privacy page explains what is stored and what is sent to our AI provider.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- upload anything illegal, or anything you don't have the right to share;
- use the app to harass, frighten or harm anyone;
- try to get into other families' accounts or data, or test the security of the service without our written permission;
- overload the service, scrape it, or use automated tools to generate content in bulk;
- try to make the AI produce content that is unsafe or unsuitable for children.
If an account breaks these rules, we may suspend or close it. Where we can, we will tell you first and explain why.
Deleting your account
You can stop using Tandomo at any time. To delete your family's account and its data, email hello@tandomo.com (we will check the request really comes from the account's parent before acting on it), or use “Delete family” in the parent settings. Deletion removes your children's profiles, their quests and answers, and any photos you added. The privacy page says more about copies and deletion.
The service can change
Tandomo is an early product. Features may change, be added or be removed, and the service may sometimes be unavailable. We will try to give notice of big changes, but we can't promise the app will always be available or free of errors.
Liability
We provide Tandomo carefully but “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for harm that comes from doing a quest without the supervision these terms ask for, or from relying on AI-written content as fact. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top. For changes that matter, we will also tell parents in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using Tandomo after a change, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.
